I just had to write and thank you from the bottom of my heart for writing your book, Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution. My husband is 42 years old and was diagnosed as a Type II diabetic over 10 years ago. He had a severe foot infection this past summer and had slowly become impotent. I could see myself as a widow before finding your book.
 
We were both hesitant about attempting to follow your diet plan, but we are here to tell you that it works with a capital W! I bought a glucose-testing machine and the first reading for my husband was 446! We immediately bought groceries with which to begin your diet plan and he started on it the next day. His blood sugar levels gradually dropped all day on that first day. By the end of the first week, his blood sugar was low.
 
The only negative in all this is that we now have such little respect for the ADA and most other physicians. Nobody helped us find a solution or gave us any hope but you. I wish every diabetic could read your book! God bless you!
